About Shazroul:

Shazroul started singing at the age of nine and inherited his talent from his grandmother who was a "Bintang Radio" singing competition winner in the 1950s. In 2006 Shazroul took part in the "Akademi Fantasia" (AF) Season 4 reality series but managed only to get to the "Prelude" stage. This failed to discourage him from pursuing a career as a singer and only made him more determined to succeed. He signed up for vocal lessons with the highly respected singer and composer, Hazami who not only helped him improve his singing and vocal techniques but also wrote for Shazroul two songs for his debut album.

"Cuma Satu" - Shazroul's first album was released in July 2009 after more than two year in production and featured songs from Hazami, Cat Farish, Riza Omar (Abang), new composer Farhana Julia and Indonesian composer, Ryan Kyoto.
